Administration and decision making
The highest authority in the municipality of Sulkava is held by the municipal council, which is elected for four years by municipal election.
Municipal board
Municipal board manages, supervises, and evaluates the municipal administration, and is responsible for the maintenance of the financial and other general operational preconditions of the municipality, by taking care of the planning of the operations and finance. The Municipal board is also responsible for the development of business.
Boards:
In addition to the Board of auditors, there are the Health Care and Social Services Board and the Building Board.
The Municipal council selects the members of the boards for its term of office.
